Roots of a Quadratic Equation

The roots of a quadratic equation are the values of xx that make it equal to zero; graphically they are where the curve crosses the x-axis. For ax2+bx+c=0ax^{2}+bx+c=0, the sum of roots is ba-\frac{b}{a} and the product is ca\frac{c}{a}, which helps form equations from given roots.
