Why this matters
When you hand your child’s Add Math to a tutor, you are trusting a stranger with a subject that can decide their stream and their confidence. So the most important thing we do is choosing the right teachers, and our co-founders Rig and Dale do this personally.
How we select and check a teacher
- We only consider teachers with real, recent experience teaching SPM Add Math.
- Rig, who teaches Add Math himself, reviews how a candidate explains a topic, not just their paper credentials.
- We look for teachers who show working clearly and teach method, because that is where SPM marks are won.
- Dale checks the things a parent would: reliability, communication, and how they treat a nervous student.
- We keep the roster small so every teacher is someone we would put in front of our own child.
What our standard means
When we say a teacher is selected and checked to our teaching standard, we mean something specific: Rig and Dale know each teacher personally and stand behind them. Beyond the facts on this site, any further detail about a teacher is confirmed with them directly before we state it.
