Reduction to linear form is the technique of rearranging a non-linear equation so it matches Y=mX+cY=mX+c, often by taking logarithms or substituting new variables. For y=axny=ax^{n}, taking logarithms gives logy=nlogx+loga\log y=n\log x+\log a, a straight line in logx\log x and logy\log y.
