Non-Linear Relation

A non-linear relation between two quantities gives a curved graph rather than a straight line, for example $y=ax^{2}$ or $y=\frac{a}{x}$. Linear law lets us rearrange such a relation into straight-line form so it can be analysed with a line of best fit.
