Midpoint

The midpoint of a line segment is the point exactly halfway between its two endpoints. For endpoints $(x_1,y_1)$ and $(x_2,y_2)$, it is $\left(\frac{x_1+x_2}{2},\frac{y_1+y_2}{2}\right)$.

It is a special case of dividing a segment in the ratio $1:1$.
