Reciprocal Trigonometric Ratios

The reciprocal trigonometric ratios are cosecant, secant, and cotangent, the reciprocals of sine, cosine, and tangent: cscθ=1sinθ\csc\theta=\frac{1}{\sin\theta}, secθ=1cosθ\sec\theta=\frac{1}{\cos\theta}, and cotθ=1tanθ\cot\theta=\frac{1}{\tan\theta}. They extend the three basic ratios and appear throughout trigonometric identities and equations.

Meaning
