Schools & SPM Add Math
Add Math looks a little different depending on the school, SMK, boarding school, MRSM, national-type or independent Chinese, private or international. Here is how each fits, and how our online teaching helps.
We are independent and do not rank schools.
Malaysian students meet Additional Mathematics through very different school settings, a national SMK, a fully residential SBP or MRSM, a national-type SMJK, a Chinese independent high school, a private or international school, or as a home-schooled private candidate. The setting changes how and when a student is offered Add Math, which subjects surround it, and sometimes the language they learned earlier mathematics in.
What it does not change is the exam: every candidate sits the same national SPM Additional Mathematics papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2, no Paper 3, marked against the same analytic scheme. The pages below explain how Add Math tends to fit each type of school, and how our online one-to-one teaching supports a student whatever their background.
