Add Math and pathways into actuarial science and finance

Add Math is an elective, not a national requirement, but for a student aiming at actuarial science or finance, it is one of the most useful subjects you can carry from school. Its work on probability, progressions and calculus is the same language these careers use daily.

What actuarial and finance work actually uses

Before deciding how much a school subject matters, it helps to know what the work looks like. An actuary measures and prices risk, how likely an event is, and what it should cost, for insurance, pensions and investments.
